Terms & Conditions

Effective and Last Updated: October 21, 2026

Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the Private Practice People website or purchasing, accessing, or participating in any product, service, program, or resource offered by us.

Private Practice People is a brand operated by Savage Professional Resources, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms apply to privatepracticepeople.com (the “Site”) and, where applicable, to products, services, programs, resources, communications, and other offerings provided by Private Practice People.

By using the Site, creating an account, downloading a resource, registering for an event, or purchasing a product or service from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or purchase or access our offerings.

1. Who May Use the Site and Services

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use this Site or purchase from us.

If you purchase on behalf of a company, group practice, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to agree to these Terms on its behalf.

2. Our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer

Your use of the Site and our products and services is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Please review those documents before using the Site or purchasing from us.

3. What Private Practice People Provides

Private Practice People provides educational resources, business information, tools, templates, workshops, consulting and coaching services, website-related services, events, and other resources designed primarily for mental health professionals in or considering private practice.

Offerings may include, now or in the future:

  • guides, checklists, worksheets, templates, and other downloadable resources;

  • courses, workshops, trainings, webinars, and educational events;

  • individual or group coaching, mentoring, consulting, or accountability services;

  • memberships, communities, coworking, office hours, or group programs;

  • private practice website assessments;

  • website strategy, design, or build services;

  • recordings, videos, newsletters, and other educational content; and

  • other products or services described on the Site or at checkout.

Specific products or services may have additional terms, policies, deliverables, timelines, or restrictions stated on the applicable sales page, checkout page, order form, proposal, or written service agreement.

4. Educational and Business Purposes Only

Private Practice People provides education, business support, and professional resources.

Although Private Practice People was founded by a licensed psychologist, your use of the Site or purchase of a Private Practice People product or service does not create a therapist-patient relationship.

Private Practice People does not provide psychotherapy, psychological assessment or diagnosis, medical treatment, crisis services, or other clinical healthcare services through this Site or through its business products and services.

Our services are also not clinical supervision unless a specific written agreement expressly states otherwise.

Nothing on the Site or in our products or services should be interpreted as individualized clinical guidance regarding a particular patient.

You remain solely responsible for your own professional judgment and for the services you provide to your patients or clients.

5. No Legal, Tax, Accounting, or Compliance Advice

We may discuss topics that intersect with business formation, documentation, insurance, marketing, websites, privacy, accessibility, HIPAA, technology, taxes, contracts, licensing, professional ethics, or regulatory requirements.

That information is provided for general educational and business purposes and is not legal, tax, accounting, financial, cybersecurity, or compliance advice.

Laws, regulations, licensing rules, ethical obligations, payer requirements, and professional standards vary by profession and jurisdiction and may change over time.

You are responsible for determining which requirements apply to your practice and for consulting an appropriately qualified attorney, accountant, tax professional, compliance professional, technology specialist, accessibility specialist, or other professional when needed.

You are also responsible for complying with the laws, professional rules, licensing requirements, and ethical standards applicable to you and your practice.

6. Do Not Send Protected Health Information

Private Practice People is not intended to receive patient records or identifiable clinical information.

Do not send or upload protected health information (“PHI”), patient records, patient names, identifying clinical information, or other information that could identify a patient or client through our contact forms, questionnaires, email, community spaces, website-assessment materials, coaching programs, workshops, or other services unless we have expressly requested the information under a separate written arrangement that specifically addresses its handling.

When discussing examples from your practice, you are responsible for removing identifying information and protecting patient confidentiality.

7. Acceptable Use of the Site

You agree not to use the Site or our products, services, or community spaces to:

  • violate any applicable law or regulation;

  • harass, threaten, abuse, defame, or harm another person;

  • upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code;

  • interfere with the security or operation of the Site;

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or materials;

  • scrape, reproduce, copy, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without authorization;

  • infringe our intellectual property rights or the rights of another person;

  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;

  • use our offerings for fraudulent, unlawful, or misleading purposes; or

  • share login credentials or paid materials in a way that exceeds the license granted with your purchase.

We may restrict or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise expressly stated, the Site and all original Private Practice People content are owned by Savage Professional Resources, LLC or used with permission.

This includes, without limitation:

  • written content;

  • graphics and designs;

  • checklists;

  • worksheets;

  • templates;

  • videos and recordings;

  • presentations;

  • training materials;

  • frameworks;

  • documents;

  • downloadable resources;

  • website-assessment formats and deliverables;

  • course and workshop content; and

  • other proprietary materials.

These materials are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your License to Use Purchased Materials

Unless otherwise stated for a particular product, purchasing or downloading our materials gives you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use them for your own personal or professional business purposes.

When a resource is designed for private-practice use, you may generally adapt and use it within your own practice as intended.

You may not, unless we give written permission:

  • resell or redistribute our materials;

  • share purchased materials with unrelated businesses or professionals;

  • upload them to public or shared resource libraries;

  • reproduce them for use in your own paid course, training, membership, or product;

  • remove ownership or copyright notices;

  • represent them as materials you created; or

  • substantially copy or repackage our work for commercial sale.

If a specific product includes broader licensing rights, those rights will be stated with that product.

9. Materials You Provide to Us

You retain ownership of materials you provide to us, including your website copy, photographs, logos, branding, business information, documents, and other original materials.

By providing those materials, you grant us a limited license to access, review, copy, edit, or otherwise use them only as reasonably necessary to provide the product or service you requested, administer our business relationship, or comply with law.

You represent that you have the right to provide those materials to us and that our permitted use of them will not infringe another person's rights.

We will not use your identifiable project materials as a public case study, testimonial, portfolio example, advertisement, or teaching example without appropriate permission.

10. Purchases and Payment

Prices and payment terms are displayed at checkout or in the applicable proposal or service agreement.

By completing a purchase, you authorize our third-party payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for the amount shown at checkout.

Payments may be processed by third-party services such as SamCart, SamPay, Stripe, or other payment processors.

We do not control those companies' systems, security practices, or terms of service.

Payment Plans

If an installment or payment-plan option is offered and you choose it, you authorize the scheduled charges disclosed at checkout.

Unless the applicable offer specifically states otherwise, choosing a payment plan is a method of paying the full purchase price, not a month-to-month cancellation arrangement.

You remain responsible for the outstanding agreed purchase price even if your payment method expires, is declined, or otherwise fails.

We may suspend access to a product or service while an overdue balance remains unpaid.

Recurring Subscriptions

If you purchase a recurring membership or subscription, you authorize recurring charges at the interval and amount disclosed at checkout until you cancel.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, cancellation does not retroactively refund an already processed billing period.

11. Taxes

Prices may not include all applicable taxes or tax pass-through amounts.

Where permitted or required, applicable taxes, including amounts associated with Hawaiʻi General Excise Tax or other taxes, may be added to or separately identified at checkout.

You are responsible for taxes associated with your purchase except for taxes imposed directly on our income that cannot legally be passed through to you.

12. Product- and Service-Specific Terms

Different Private Practice People offerings may have different scopes, timelines, refund policies, participation requirements, or licensing terms.

The description and terms presented on the applicable sales page, checkout page, order form, proposal, or written service agreement form part of your agreement with us.

If product-specific terms directly conflict with these general Terms, the more specific terms for that product or service will control.

13. Private Practice Website Assessment

The Private Practice Website Assessment is a personalized, asynchronous review of an existing private-practice website.

What It Includes

The assessment may consider issues such as:

  • clarity and messaging;

  • how easily a prospective patient can understand your practice;

  • referral readiness;

  • patient or client fit and differentiation;

  • trust and professionalism;

  • usability and navigation;

  • visibility of important practice information;

  • basic website and online-presence opportunities; and

  • priorities we believe may be worth addressing.

The assessment includes the deliverables described on the current sales page, including a personalized video walkthrough and written action plan.

Timing

Your assessment will typically be delivered within 7–14 business days after both payment and your completed questionnaire have been received.

Assessments are completed on a queue-based basis. Turnaround times are estimates and may occasionally be longer due to unusually high demand, travel, holidays, illness, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. If I anticipate that your assessment will take longer than the typical turnaround period, I will make reasonable efforts to notify you and provide an updated estimated delivery timeframe.

A Business Day means Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.

Incomplete questionnaires, missing website access or information, or delays in providing requested materials may delay delivery.

If I am unable to complete your assessment, you will receive a full refund.

Clarification Questions

You may submit up to two brief clarification questions by email within 14 calendar days after delivery of your assessment.

These questions are intended to clarify feedback already provided.

They do not include:

  • a new review or evaluation;

  • review of substantial changes made after delivery;

  • additional copywriting;

  • implementation;

  • additional website pages or projects;

  • technical troubleshooting; or

  • ongoing consulting.

Additional assistance may be available as a separate paid service.

What the Website Assessment Is Not

The Website Assessment is not a formal or comprehensive:

  • technical SEO audit;

  • keyword or search-ranking analysis;

  • analytics or Search Console review;

  • accessibility audit or certification;

  • legal review;

  • HIPAA compliance assessment;

  • privacy compliance assessment;

  • cybersecurity audit;

  • website redesign;

  • website-development service;

  • copywriting service; or

  • guarantee of business results.

We may identify concerns or opportunities in these areas when they are apparent during our review. When something would benefit from specialized evaluation, we may recommend consulting a specialist with expertise in that particular area.

14. Digital Products and Downloads

Digital resources are licensed rather than sold outright unless expressly stated otherwise.

Unless a different license accompanies the product, digital products are for use by the purchaser and, where applicable, within the purchaser's own business or practice.

Because digital products may be delivered or made accessible immediately, digital-product purchases are generally final and nonrefundable once access or delivery has occurred, unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law.

15. Coaching, Consulting, Workshops, and Group Programs

The specific scope of coaching, consulting, mentoring, workshops, group programs, or events will be described at registration or purchase.

Participation does not guarantee a particular business, financial, marketing, professional, or practice outcome.

You remain responsible for your own decisions and implementation.

Group Confidentiality

If you participate in a group program, workshop, community, mastermind, coworking session, or similar offering, you agree to respect the privacy of other participants and not disclose another participant's confidential or personally identifying information outside the group without permission.

Although we may establish confidentiality expectations, we cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality.

Please do not share PHI or identifiable patient information in group settings.

Recordings

Some workshops, trainings, or group events may be recorded.

When recording is planned, we will provide notice. Additional consent may be requested where participant voices, images, questions, or contributions may be included in a distributed recording.

16. Custom Website and Project Services

Website builds, substantial website revisions, custom consulting projects, and similar individualized services may require a separate proposal, scope of work, order form, or service agreement.

That agreement may specify:

  • project scope;

  • included pages or deliverables;

  • client responsibilities;

  • content and asset deadlines;

  • revision limits;

  • project timeline;

  • domain and hosting responsibilities;

  • Squarespace or other platform fees;

  • third-party expenses;

  • payment schedule;

  • cancellation terms;

  • ownership and licensing;

  • launch responsibilities; and

  • post-launch support.

The project-specific agreement will control if it conflicts with these general Terms.

Unless expressly included, third-party expenses such as domain registration, platform subscriptions, paid fonts, stock photography, plugins, email services, or other external services are the purchaser's responsibility.

17. Refunds and Cancellations

Product-specific refund and cancellation terms presented at the time of purchase control.

Website Assessment

For the Private Practice Website Assessment:

  • You may request a full refund before we begin working on your assessment.

  • Work is considered to have begun when we begin reviewing your website, questionnaire, or other materials for the purpose of preparing your personalized assessment.

  • Once personalized work has begun, the purchase is generally nonrefundable, subject to applicable law.

  • If we are unable to complete your assessment, you will receive a full refund.

Digital Products

Digital products and immediately accessible downloads are generally nonrefundable after delivery or access unless the applicable sales page states otherwise or a refund is required by law.

Other Services

Coaching, consulting, workshops, memberships, events, and custom projects may have different refund or cancellation terms. Those terms will be disclosed with the applicable offer.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

18. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe a charge was made incorrectly, please contact us first so we have an opportunity to review and resolve the issue.

We reserve the right to provide relevant transaction records, checkout terms, communications, delivery records, access records, and other appropriate documentation when responding to a payment dispute or chargeback.

Submitting a chargeback does not eliminate a valid payment obligation where payment is otherwise lawfully due.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising legitimate rights available through your card issuer, payment provider, or applicable law.

19. No Guarantees of Results

We want our products and services to be useful, but results depend on many factors outside our control.

We do not guarantee:

  • patient inquiries;

  • referrals;

  • website traffic;

  • search-engine rankings;

  • revenue;

  • profitability;

  • practice growth;

  • business success;

  • employment or professional opportunities;

  • completion of a particular business goal; or

  • any other specific result.

Your results depend on factors including your market, specialty, location, licensure, fees, insurance participation, implementation, website, marketing, professional reputation, business decisions, effort, timing, and circumstances.

You are responsible for evaluating recommendations and deciding whether and how to implement them.

20. Testimonials, Examples, and Case Studies

Testimonials, examples, stories, and case studies describe individual experiences or illustrate concepts.

They are not promises that you will experience the same outcome.

When we use testimonials or examples in marketing, we intend to present them truthfully and in accordance with applicable advertising requirements.

Where permission is required to identify a customer, client, practice, or project, we will obtain appropriate permission.

21. Third-Party Websites, Platforms, and Services

Our Site and products may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services.

We may also recommend or demonstrate third-party products or platforms.

Third-party companies operate independently from us. We do not control their:

  • availability;

  • pricing;

  • functionality;

  • security;

  • accessibility;

  • privacy practices;

  • terms;

  • policies; or

  • future changes.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by your agreement with that provider.

We are not responsible for losses caused solely by a third-party platform's outage, security incident, policy change, discontinuation, or other action outside our reasonable control.

22. Affiliate and Referral Relationships

We may occasionally recommend products or services for which we receive an affiliate commission, referral payment, credit, discount, or other benefit.

Where required, we will disclose material relationships so you can evaluate the recommendation appropriately.

A financial relationship does not change your responsibility to determine whether a product or service is appropriate for you or your business.

Additional information may appear in our Disclaimer or adjacent to the applicable recommendation.

23. Website Availability and Errors

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Site and our materials accurate and available.

However, we do not guarantee that:

  • the Site will always be available without interruption;

  • every feature will function without error;

  • all information will always be current;

  • third-party links will remain active; or

  • technical issues will never occur.

We may correct errors, update information, change features, or temporarily suspend access when reasonably necessary.

If a pricing or product-description error materially affects a purchase, we will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue fairly.

24. Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, widespread internet or utility outages, platform failures, governmental action, emergencies, illness, or other events that make timely performance impracticable.

If such an event affects a paid service, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate with you and reschedule, extend, or otherwise address the affected service.

25. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Savage Professional Resources, LLC, Private Practice People, and their owners, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products or services, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunities, or loss of data.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising from a particular purchased product or service will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

26. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Savage Professional Resources, LLC, Private Practice People, and their owners, employees, contractors, and agents from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from:

  • your unlawful use of the Site or our products or services;

  • your material breach of these Terms;

  • materials you provide to us that infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;

  • your misuse or unauthorized redistribution of our intellectual property; or

  • your violation of applicable law in connection with your use of our products or services.

This provision does not require you to indemnify us for liability that applicable law does not permit us to shift to you.

27. Termination or Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access to our Site, programs, communities, accounts, or services when reasonably necessary because of:

  • nonpayment;

  • abuse, harassment, or threatening behavior;

  • unlawful activity;

  • material violation of these Terms;

  • unauthorized sharing or redistribution of our materials;

  • security concerns; or

  • conduct that materially disrupts a program or community.

Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue before termination.

Termination does not eliminate payment obligations that arose before termination.

Provisions concerning intellectual property, payment obligations, limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and other provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective after termination.

28. Informal Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between you and us, we want a reasonable opportunity to resolve it before either party initiates formal legal proceedings.

Before filing a lawsuit, the party raising the dispute agrees to send written notice describing:

  • the nature of the dispute;

  • the relevant transaction or service;

  • the relief or resolution requested; and

  • reasonable supporting information.

Notice to us may be submitted through the Private Practice People Contact page and should clearly state that it concerns a legal or payment dispute.

The parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute for at least 30 days after receipt of the written notice before initiating formal proceedings.

Either party may propose mediation during that period. Mediation is voluntary unless both parties agree to participate.

Small Claims

Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing an eligible claim in small claims court after providing the required written notice.

29. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law or another applicable law requires otherwise.

For disputes that are not resolved informally and are not brought in an appropriate small claims court, you agree that the appropriate state courts located in the First Circuit, State of Hawaiʻi, or the United States District Court for the District of Hawaiʻi, as applicable, will have jurisdiction and venue.

Nothing in this section eliminates rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive.

30. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as our Site, products, services, technology, or legal obligations change.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date.

Changes generally apply prospectively from the date they are posted.

A material change to these general Terms will not retroactively alter the essential terms of a previously purchased service where doing so would be inconsistent with the agreement made at the time of purchase or applicable law.

Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms for future use.

31. Severability

If a court determines that part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent legally permitted or severed if necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

32. No Waiver

If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

33. Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights under a personalized service agreement or purchase without our written consent.

We may assign these Terms as part of a lawful merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of the business, or transfer of substantially all relevant business assets.

34. Entire Agreement and Order of Priority

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, applicable sales or checkout terms, and any product-specific order form, proposal, or written service agreement, constitute the agreement between you and us regarding the applicable Site use or purchase.

If there is a direct conflict:

  1. a separately signed written service agreement or proposal controls for that service;

  2. product-specific checkout or sales terms control for that product;

  3. these general Terms control otherwise.

35. Electronic Communications

When you purchase or register for an offering, you consent to receive transactional and service-related electronic communications reasonably necessary to fulfill your purchase, including receipts, onboarding instructions, scheduling information, delivery notices, and account or policy information.

Marketing emails are governed separately by the choices and consent options described in our Privacy Policy and email communications.

36. Privacy

Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, disclose, store, and otherwise handle personal information.

37. Contact

If you have a question about these Terms, please contact:
